Ahhhh-- a lot to say in this journal; No one will read it but I thought I'd update it since it's been awhile. xD;
The great Andrew Jones and Kris Kuksi had a gallery opening called Divine Invasion at the metaGallery this last Friday on May 15, 2009 in Toronto, ON. I had the honour of meeting both of them and collecting some autographs and prints C: They're two really cool, humble and amazingly skilled artists who I admire and look up to so highly!
During the opening, I was invited both by the two gallery owners, as well as Andrew, to attend a private workshop he was having the next evening. About ten of us were welcomed by Andrew and his company; It was apparently the first personal workshop he has ever held with such a small number of people. We had an open discussion about his life as well as his views on love, religion, illegal substances, art, selling out, and his spiritual journey in Peru. He performed the technical part of the workshop where he digitally painted a Portrait on request of his company, Feydre(?), using various programs and switching to and from them- Painter XI, Photoshop, Zbrush. It was absolutely amazing to see him to work so dynamically though the process! I hope to catch him once again in the future; and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to meet with him and see him work live.
The gallery will be up for quite some time, and anyone in Toronto or in the surrounding area is encouraged to visit C: For Info:

In other news, I'll be reuniting with my ECAMU (Edmonton Cartoon Artist Meet Up) group at Anime North ! Kim from evilsmile.net,
